Don your favorite pair of jeans to increase awareness and promote an end to victim-blaming! Encourage your employer to participate in International Denim Day to take a stand against sexual violence and victim blaming. Employees of participating organization will donate $5 or more to wear jeans on April 26, and their donations go toward support for survivors of sexual violence. Each participating organization will also receive a media packet to help highlight their efforts to end sexual assault, including a social media toolkit. The Women’s Center of Jacksonville is a nonprofit, Jacksonville-based organization offering education, support and advocacy to women and men who have survived sexual assault. Each year, the Women’s Center of Jacksonville provides 300 sexual assault survivors with forensic exams. The Women’s Center of Jacksonville is the only certified rape crisis center in Duval, Baker and Nassau Counties and also offers community education, counseling, referral assistance, rape prevention services and breast cancer education, support and advocacy at complimentary and affordable prices.
